Small studio, big mischief
We make games that argue with their own genre.
Rogue Monkey Studio is an independent studio. We are interested in making games a bit differently: content, experience, who knows...
So the games come with a question attached. Is France 2027 a campaign game, or a political experience wearing a game's clothes? Is a cyberpunk deckbuilder still just a deckbuilder once the implants start rewriting the interface you play through? We would rather ship the argument than settle it. Three games are in the works: one arriving soon, one deep in the lab, and one robot that has only just learned to walk. And because we needed it ourselves, we are also building a tool: IbBiGi, a generator of isometric buildings.

France 2027
Swipe left, swipe right, win an election. A fast, funny campaign game about running for president of France — and the reason playtesters keep stopping halfway through to argue about their own politics rather than the game's.

Untitled Deckbuilder
Working title
A cyberpunk deckbuilder where the chrome does not just change your numbers — it changes your interface. Every implant rewrites what you can see, read and click. Upgrade far enough and you are playing a screen no other run will show you.

Why Rogue Monkey?
Everyone has a little chaos monkey living somewhere in their brain. It is the voice that asks "what if we pressed the red button?", that wants to flip the board, break the rules of the genre and see what falls out. Most of the time we politely ignore it.
This studio is where we stop ignoring it. Every game and every tool we make is, at least a bit, a way of feeding that inner monkey: a strange question, an idea that should not work, a mechanic that bends the screen it is played on. We hope yours enjoys the snacks too.
